M J Gleeson benefits from electronic project collaboration

M J Gleeson Group plc, one of the UK's major general building and engineering contractors and property developers, has recently purchased a 60 user licence for Business Collaborator.

On a current project, Gleeson is working with colleagues from several other companies and so requires a system that spans the different IT infrastructures, which large international companies often have. Participants will include the overall project manager, managers of individual sites, on-site workers and office-based staff. It's clear that BC should be able to help them.

All project information will be disseminated via Business Collaborator and incoming letters and faxes will be scanned and uploaded.

M J Gleeson Group plc sees the benefits of using BC as:

• Avoiding photocopying and posting documents to circulate them
• Permitting electronic review and approval
• Removing the need for archiving an entire filing cabinet's worth of documents at the end of a project

and sees Business Collaborator as providing all the functionality it needs, such as access control and document reviewing, which should replace the current process of posting out drawings for approval and then awaiting their return.
