Working to stop the Floods
We would like to say welcome to our latest client, Morrison Construction, who has selected BC to provide the Project Extranet for Moray Flood Alleviation. This is a 3-year contract to support up to 150 users, mainly from Moray Flood Alleviation, which comprises Morrison Construction, The Moray Council and Royal Haskoning. The mission of Moray Flood Alleviation is to alleviate flooding for the communities of Moray.
The Flood Prevention Schemes around the area of Lhanbryde have already started with work scheduled in Forres, Rothes and Elgin on further flood storage reservoirs, channel, wall and embankment improvements and river corridor restoration works.
The objective of river corridor restoration works is to make best use of the natural floodplain and provide a sustainable flood corridor. The schemes will also involve work to improve bridges, surface water drainage systems, relocation of services and the remediation of contaminated land.
Other Flood Prevention Works will be added to the programme of works in due course.
