Business Collaborator chosen by Nationwide Building Society as information repository for Dynamic Intranet

As an addition to its Intranet, Swindon-based Nationwide Building Society has recently purchased a site licence for Business Collaborator from Enviros Software Solutions. Business Collaborator will allow information generated by areas of the enterprise to be controlled, accessed and distributed more easily. Based on open Internet standards, Nationwide selected Business Collaborator as a future-proofed application which will be unaffected by planned changes to their hardware and software infrastructure.

Empowering the organisation, the software will be used initially as a means to control, co-ordinate and rapidly disseminate information. By using the software s advanced document management capabilities, employees will post approved information directly into Business Collaborator, which can then be accessed through the company s Intranet. This process will reduce publication costs and provide a platform for collaborative working and information sharing.

Richard Searle, development controller at Nationwide said:
